Dr Nick Harvey is a Principle GP in Eastbourne and CEO of the East Sussex GP Federation, South Downs Health & Care (SDHC). In a search for ways a federation can make a sustainable impact in the community, SDHC partnered with a local leisure trust, Wave Active, to create a charity and acquire a sports centre in August 2024, which is being developed into a health and wellbeing centre. This will blend healthcare with leisure to form a proactive approach to promoting health and wellbeing and an alternative income stream.
