Amy advises clients on the full range of contentious and non-contentious employment law issues. She supports organisations in dealing with difficult investigations, disciplinary and grievance processes, and also defends Employment Tribunal claims, ranging from unfair dismissal claims, to multifaceted discrimination, whistleblowing and victimisation claims. She regularly advises clients on day-to-day employment related matters, such as performance management, redundancies and sickness absence. She also provides strategic advice on non-contentious issues such as restructuring, collective consultation and TUPE.
Amy has experience of advising on disciplinary issues involving senior medical staff and ‘Maintaining High Professional Standards in the Modern NHS’, and also has experience advising on the legal issues arising from doctors in training, and in respect of TUPE and pension access within the NHS. In addition, Amy frequently provides support to organisations in relation to employment issues concerning Directors and Senior Executives. Given her experience, Amy is well positioned to provide pragmatic legal and HR support in a healthcare setting, as well as offering client training.
